Tour Plan
Hotel pickup — early morning Your driver collects you from your hotel and transfers you to Fumba, on Zanzibar's southwest coast, the departure point for Safari Blue.
Dhow departure and sailing — Board a traditional wooden dhow and set sail across the calm waters of Menai Bay, with a chance of spotting dolphins along the way.
Snorkelling — Anchor at one of the bay's coral reef sites for snorkelling in clear, calm water. Equipment is provided and the reef here is known for its health and variety of marine life.
Sandbank swimming — approximately 1 hour Sail on to a sandbank that appears with the tide, where you can swim, relax and take in the surrounding open water views.
Mangrove exploration — Visit a nearby mangrove forest, either by boat or on foot depending on the tide, and learn about this important coastal ecosystem and its role in protecting Zanzibar's shoreline.
Seafood lunch feast — The highlight for many guests: a generous seafood buffet featuring freshly grilled fish, calamari, prawns and lobster (seasonal), alongside rice, salad, samosas and fresh tropical fruit, served on a beach or sandbank.
Return sail and transfer Sail back to Fumba as the day winds down, then transfer back to your hotel.
