Tour Plan
Hotel pickup —Your driver-guide collects you from your hotel and transfers you to Jozani Forest.
Park entrance and ranger introduction — Meet your park ranger at the entrance, who will give you a short introduction to the forest, its conservation history, and what to expect on the walk.
Forest walk — Walk the forest trails with your ranger, spotting red colobus monkeys — usually found in troops moving through the canopy and along the forest floor — along with blue monkeys and other wildlife if you're lucky. Your ranger will share details on the forest's ecology, the conservation work protecting the colobus population, and the history of the park.
Mangrove boardwalk — Finish the visit with a walk along the raised boardwalk through Jozani's mangrove swamp, a very different ecosystem from the forest itself, with its own wildlife and plant life to spot.
